FIELD OPERATIONS

Our Surveillance Division at Work

This image was captured by the Committee's surveillance division at great personal risk (front row, excellent view, honestly a great night). It documents the subject mid-performance in a patched jacket, fully unaware — or worse, fully aware — that he was being observed.

The division has since requested a budget for a second camera. The request is pending review by our finance committee, which is a coffee can.

Our Values

Adopted unanimously at a meeting nobody can prove happened.

Transparency

We disclose everything: our findings, our methods, our verdicts. Everything except our funding, our membership, and our address. Those are different. Stop asking about those.

Rigor

Every allegation is triple-checked for banjo content before publication. Allegations found to contain insufficient banjo are returned to the tip line for enrichment.

Independence

The Committee is fully independent of Tyler Rice. We are also, our auditors note, fully FUNDED by Tyler Rice. We have asked the auditors to look again. They keep coming back with the same answer. We may need new auditors. (Funded by whom, though?)

Community

Durango deserves answers. Durango also deserves better parking downtown, functional small-business websites, and an honest accounting of the banjo years. One thing at a time.

The Committee by the Numbers

Audited figures. The auditor has resigned.

THE QUESTION WE CANNOT OUTRUN

Still wondering who pays for all this?

So are we. Officially. The final case file contains our complete findings on the matter, and we are not okay.
